Your own hot tub among the trees, twenty minutes from Amsterdam. You light the fire yourself, wait for the water to warm up and sink in while the forest around you goes quiet.
Wood-fired, so you heat it yourself
The hot tub runs on wood. No button, no thermostat, no app. You put the wood in the stove, light it and let the fire do the work.
Heating takes about an hour for every ten degrees. That sounds like waiting, but it is usually the quietest hour of the stay. You hear the wood crackle, steam starts to rise and the forest slowly goes dark.
Everything is laid out when you arrive, and you get clear instructions beforehand. The firewood is included in your stay, so you do not need to bring any wood yourself.
How it goes
Never fired up a wood-heated hot tub before? This is how it works.
Light the fire
The wood is laid out for you, so there is nothing to find or fetch. You light it yourself, and you keep the fire going until the water is up to temperature.
The wait is part of it
Count on roughly an hour per ten degrees, and on adding wood now and then. So stay close by: start cooking in the outdoor kitchen or get the board games out.
Then get in
Once the water is up to temperature, you step in. There is no one else: no other guests, no one looking in, no traffic.
The hot tub in winter
In winter the forest is bare and quiet, and the night sky at its clearest. Guests have stayed here at -7 °C, with snow in the forest.
Warm water, cold air, steam lifting off the surface. Bring a bathrobe for the path between the bubble and the tub, and gloves for lighting the fire.
Bad weather takes nothing away. Rain on the water while you sit warm in it makes the evening more memorable, not less.
And in summer
In summer you light the fire while it is still light out and wait in the hammock until the water is up to temperature. Evenings cool off, so keep something warm ready for afterwards.

Ik raad dit iedereen aan die op een unieke manier wil ontspannen. Heel mooi gebouwd allemaal en prachtige omgeving. Tijdens onze overnachting was het -7 graden buiten met sneeuw. Maar de temperatuur in de bubbel was aangenaam. Er blaast redelijk warme lucht in de tent.
De hottub was ook heerlijk en leuk om zelf te moeten aansteken. Ook makkelijk te bereiken met de bus vanaf Amsterdam.Wat een fijne plek. We kwamen laat aan en het was al donker, maar de sfeerverlichting door het bos maakte de aankomst meteen bijzonder. Alles was aanwezig om te koken en de gratis koffie en thee waren een fijne extra. Het welkomstpakket met een flesje champagne voelde echt als een warm welkom.
De instructies waren duidelijk en daardoor hadden we de hottub snel warm.Gewoon een hele leuke ervaring dit! Hottub was overheerlijk en het was bijzonder om tussen de bomen wakker te worden.
